National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month

Each year, the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) declares May to be "National Asthma and Allergy      Awareness Month." It is the peak season for asthma and allergy sufferers.  To learn more click on the following resources.

United States Environmental Protection Agency provides useful information about asthma and what triggers an asthma attack.

Centers for Disease Control  provides information on this lifelong chronic disease.

MedlinePlus is an excellent resource for trusted health  information on Asthma and Allergies

      
     

    CHIRS Service

    Do you need information to guide decisions about your health, the health of a family member or a friend?

    The McGoogan Library of Medicine provides such information to Nebraska residents free of charge through our Consumer Health Information Resource Service (CHIRS).  A Health Sciences Librarian will research your condition and provide a tailored package of information that may include: journal articles, book chapters, pamphlets and web resources.
